Cross-country walker, unstoppable coach.

Hi, I’m Katie—movement junkie, certified cheerleader for your healthiest life, and owner of The Mod Ped.

I hold a BS in Kinesiology from UT Austin, I’m an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, carry the Exercise Is Medicine credential, and I’m both a Master Certified Life Coach and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. (Translation: I’m nerdy about the science of how bodies and minds thrive, and I love turning that science into real-life wins for my clients.)

A few years ago I was honored to be a fellow in the America Walks National Walking College, which basically confirmed what I already knew: walking is magic, and we all need more of it.

Speaking of walking… I’m currently training to walk across the entire country on the American Discovery Trail. Coast to coast, one deliberate step at a time. (Because why take a road trip when you can earn it on foot?)

Before I traded wheels for walking shoes, I was a roller derby chick—skating under a name I’ll only reveal over coffee, blocking hits, and loving every bruise. That grit still shows up in how I coach: tough love, big heart, zero quit.

I’m also “Mom” to two awesome young adults who are off conquering university life, which means I finally have time to chase my own wild adventures while still being the loudest voice in their corner.
